Nautilus Company is led by Bill Payzant, a builder and home construction project manager with more than a decade of experience in the field. Bill got his professional start working aboard elite private yachts, an experience that required him to be a carpenter, electrician, plumber and sailor. More importantly, Bill learned that his clients placed a high priority on clear interpersonal communication and strategic thinking – skills that continue to prove invaluable in his current profession.

Bill later joined forces with his wife, an architect, to start their own home renovation business in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. This led to later work as a project manager on high-value custom building projects, first in Cape Cod and later in the Charleston area for Daly & Sawyer Construction. Bill’s wide range of experience – from personally performing the labor to business management to coordinating the efforts of subcontractors, architects, designers and owners – has produced a nuanced understanding of the different priorities, personalities and perspectives involved in each project. This understanding enables Bill to anticipate many of his clients’ needs and to reduce the logistical headache that often results from home maintenance or construction projects.
